In March 2025, the Minister for Finance, Hon. Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, presented the 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament under the theme “Resetting for the Ghana We Want.”

Eight months later, in November 2025, he returned to Parliament to present the 2026 Budget, themed “Resetting for Growth, Jobs, and Economic Transformation.”

The 2025 fiscal year saw significant improvements in Ghana’s macroeconomic conditions. Economic growth strengthened, inflation declined into single digits, the cedi stabilized, reserves improved, and debt indicators fell. According to the Minister, these gains reflect restored fiscal discipline, improved price stability, and renewed investor confidence.

Building on this progress, BDO Ghana has reviewed the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, providing insights into its key measures and implications for businesses and the economy.
